Nana’s First Apron ~ this design was taken from a 1930’s pattern of my Grandmother’s first apron which was made by her mother on a treadle sewing machine. I added the adjustable neck tie and the reversible double layer for fun and character as well as durability. My children had these from age 1 and still fit them at age 7. They love the size and also the choice of reversing the apron. ~
Made with vintage cotton sheets and a vintage linen tea towel.
This is a unique, one-off creation made for little people from age 1-8years old. Lovingly crafted in my home studio in The Gap, Qld, Australia. All materials are vintage or up-cycled and it is sewn with new poly cotton thread.
